aha has officially announced the premiere of the highly anticipated third season of Telugu Indian Idol, set to air on June 7, with episodes every Friday at 7 pm.
The grand unveiling event showcased the judges and host for the new season, promising an exciting and talent-packed musical journey.
The star-studded event began with a captivating orchestra performance by Sai, setting the tone for an evening of musical brilliance. Renowned singers Karthik and Geeta Madhuri enthralled the audience with their soulful performances, while rapper Vamsi Hari added an energetic twist by introducing the judges through a dynamic rap.
SreeRama Chandra, a returning judge, highlighted the unique aspect of this season’s auditions, which included not only singers but also musicians who play instruments. This year’s auditions saw a significant increase in participants, with over 4,000 hopefuls vying for a spot, a substantial rise from previous seasons.
Geeta Madhuri, also returning for her third season, expressed her delight at being called back and shared her excitement about the exceptional talent discovered during the auditions. The top 12 contestants have already been selected, promising a high-caliber competition.
Judge Karthik remarked on the defining nature of this season, noting the presence of young, aspiring musicians. Musician Thaman humorously compared Indian Idol to a ‘tsunami’ in his life, acknowledging the challenges of judging. He thanked Allu Arvind and director Trivikram for encouraging him to take on the role and highlighted the global reach of this season’s auditions, with participants from as far as the USA and Australia.
