Actors Shantanu Maheshwari and Avneet Kaur have made headlines at the 77th Cannes Film Festival with the announcement of their new film, ‘Love in Vietnam’.
The film’s first-look poster was unveiled at the prestigious event, marking a historic collaboration between the entertainment industries of India and Vietnam, IANS reported.
Directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi and featuring Vietnamese actor Kha Ngan, ‘Love in Vietnam’ is an adaptation of the bestseller ‘Madonna in a Fur Coat’. The film is produced by Omung Kumar, Rahhat Shah Kazmi, and internationally acclaimed festival curator Captain Rahul Bali, alongside Abhishek Ankur.
Shantanu Maheshwari shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting the film’s poster and expressing his excitement, “Thrilled to unveil the first look of our film #LoveInVietnam at Cannes! I’m excited to finally be able to share this, our groundbreaking India-Vietnam collaboration.”
The project has garnered support from the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Mumbai, and Vietnam Airlines, underscoring the significant cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
Shantanu Maheshwari, who recently starred in Netflix’s vampire drama ‘Tooth Pari: When Love Bites’ and the critically acclaimed ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ with Alia Bhatt, continues to make strides in the international film arena with this new venture.
Avneet Kaur, known for her role in ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui, joins Maheshwari in this ambitious project, bringing her unique talent and charm to the film.
‘Love in Vietnam’ promises to be a captivating tale of love and culture, set against the vibrant backdrop of Vietnam, and is eagerly anticipated by fans and cinephiles alike.
