‘Aghathiyaa’ climbs into Prime Video’s top 10 in India

The Tamil-language fantasy-horror film ‘Aghathiyaa’, directed by Pa. Vijay, has made a notable entry into Amazon Prime Video‘s Top 10 list in India.

After its theatrical release on February 28, 2025, the film has garnered significant attention on streaming platforms, particularly Amazon Prime Video and Sun NXT.

‘Aghathiyaa’ weaves a tale of a group of entrepreneurs who, in an attempt to profit, convert a mansion into a haunted house, only to uncover its dark history.

The film features Jiiva in a dual role, alongside Arjun Sarja and Raashii Khanna. Despite receiving mixed reviews upon its theatrical release, its unique blend of fantasy and horror elements has resonated with the streaming audience.

The film’s ascent into the Top 10 highlights the growing appetite for regional fantasy-horror content among Indian viewers. Its availability in multiple languages and on various platforms has broadened its reach, contributing to its streaming success.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious.
