Audio streaming platform Spotify has appointed Aditi Shorewal as its new Head of Public Relations and Communications, adding an experienced communications leader to its India leadership team.
Shorewal announced her new role through a LinkedIn post, where she expressed enthusiasm about beginning a new chapter with the company.
“Now Playing: A new chapter at Spotify. Excited to share that I’m joining Spotify as Head of PR & Communications. Feeling grateful for the journey that brought me here and looking forward to working with incredible teams, creators, artists, and partners to tell stories that spark conversations, shape culture, and connect people in India and beyond,” she wrote.
The appointment marks the latest milestone in Shorewal’s career, which spans over 15 years across consumer technology, digital platforms, media organizations and internet businesses. She is widely recognized for her expertise in strategic communications, brand storytelling, media relations and content marketing.
Prior to joining Spotify, Shorewal was associated with Tinder, where she held key communications leadership positions, including Communications Lead for India and later Communications Lead for India and Korea. During her tenure, she played a significant role in shaping the brand’s communication strategy and strengthening its market presence across key regions.
Before Tinder, she served as Head of Communications & Content Marketing at Eventbrite, leading brand communications and content initiatives. She also spent nearly three years at Twitter as Lead, Communications & Social Media Marketing, where she worked on communication campaigns and stakeholder engagement for one of the world’s largest social media platforms.
Her international experience includes communications and media relations roles at 4media group UK and TheNewsMarket in London. Earlier in her career, she worked with leading Indian media organizations, including NDTV and Times Internet Limited.
Shorewal began her professional journey in journalism and editorial roles at Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group), laying the foundation for a career that would later span corporate communications, public relations and digital marketing.
Academically, she holds a Master’s degree in Digital Asset and Media Management from King’s College London.
With her extensive experience across media, technology and consumer internet brands, Shorewal is expected to play a key role in strengthening Spotify’s communications strategy as the company continues to expand its presence and engagement with creators, artists and listeners in India and international markets.
