Prime Video has announced June 26 as the global premiere date for ‘Alliance’, its upcoming reality series that marks a first for the streaming platform. Hosted by actor Kunal Kemmu, the show will become Prime Video’s first-ever daily reality series worldwide, with new episodes dropping every day at 12 noon.
According to a Prime Video press release, ‘Alliance’ will premiere in India and across more than 240 countries and territories. Produced by Banijay Asia, the Hindi-language unscripted series is the first international adaptation of Talpa Studios’ globally acclaimed Dutch format created by media entrepreneur John de Mol.
The reality competition will span 42 episodes over six weeks and feature 16 contestants who enter the game as allies. However, as the competition progresses, shifting loyalties, strategic gameplay and unexpected twists will challenge every partnership, forcing contestants to rethink their alliances in pursuit of the ultimate prize.
The format is built around the idea that no alliance is permanent. While contestants begin the journey as duos, they soon discover that trust can quickly become a liability in a game driven by strategy, deception and survival. As relationships evolve and power dynamics shift, only one contestant will emerge as the winner.
The show also marks a new chapter in Kunal Kemmu’s career as he makes his debut as a reality show host. Known for his versatility across comedy, drama and thriller genres, Kemmu will now take on the responsibility of guiding contestants and audiences through the unpredictable twists of the competition.
Announcing the launch, Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said the platform is excited to introduce a format that combines strategy, changing loyalties and evolving gameplay in a way that keeps audiences engaged every day.
“We are thrilled to bring ‘Alliance’ to audiences across the country. As a first-of-its-kind format for India, ‘Alliance’ will combine strategy, shifting loyalties, and constantly evolving gameplay, creating a truly immersive experience that will keep our audiences engaged every single day from start to end,” Madhok said.
He added that the platform’s recent success in the unscripted space has demonstrated a growing appetite among viewers for distinctive reality content. Prime Video’s reality slate includes titles such as ‘The Traitors India’ and ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’.
Deepak Dhar, Founder and Group CEO of Banijay Asia, said the scale of the format was one of its biggest attractions. According to him, the show combines large-scale challenges with constant strategic decision-making, creating a fast-paced and unpredictable viewing experience.
“What makes Alliance stand out is the constant interplay between strategy and performance. Contestants are pushed physically, mentally, and emotionally, with every challenge creating new opportunities and new setbacks. It’s fast, unpredictable, and incredibly dynamic,” Dhar said.
With daily episodes, intense competition and constantly shifting relationships, ‘Alliance’ represents a significant addition to Prime Video’s growing unscripted content portfolio. The platform is positioning the series as a daily destination for reality entertainment, offering viewers a fresh dose of drama, strategy and surprises every afternoon.
‘Alliance’ will begin streaming exclusively on Prime Video from June 26, with a new episode released daily at 12 noon.
