Hungama OTT has launched its latest original series ‘Looteri Dulhan’, a crime drama set in the heartland of Madhya Pradesh that explores deception, survival and the complex lives of two women standing on opposite sides of the law. The series premiered on May 19, 2026, and features Pooja A Gor and Sanvika in lead roles alongside Manmohan Tiwari.
According to a Hungama OTT press release, ‘Looteri Dulhan’ follows a bizarre string of crimes where newly married grooms are robbed by a mysterious bride who disappears overnight. As panic spreads, Sub Inspector Sandhya Yadav begins to notice a pattern that others overlook and launches an investigation to track down the mastermind behind the crimes.
The series centres on Sandhya, a sharp and disciplined police officer who is constantly battling societal pressure and expectations around marriage while trying to prove herself professionally. Her investigation eventually leads her to Maya, a clever con artist who has built an entire network around exploiting unsuspecting men while staying ahead of the law. As the chase intensifies, the conflict between the two women turns deeply personal, uncovering insecurities, emotional struggles and the difficult choices that shaped their lives.
Speaking about her role, Pooja A Gor said Sandhya is a woman fighting two battles at once — one external as a police officer hunting a criminal, and another internal as she struggles emotionally in a world where she constantly has to prove her worth. She added that the dynamic between Sandhya and Maya brings a fresh perspective rarely explored in crime dramas.
Sanvika, who plays Maya, described the role as both challenging and emotionally layered. She said the character is not just about cunning or manipulation, but also about understanding the circumstances and experiences that pushed her into building a life on her own terms. According to the actor, the series reflects stories that feel rooted in reality and presents a woman who audiences may sympathise with despite her actions.
Manmohan Tiwari said the layered storytelling and emotional complexity of the series drew him to the project. He noted that while the show appears to be a crime thriller on the surface, it is ultimately driven by human emotions, difficult choices and survival instincts.
With its mix of suspense, emotional conflict and strong performances, ‘Looteri Dulhan’ attempts to present a gripping cat-and-mouse chase while also exploring themes of identity, independence and societal judgment. The series is currently streaming on Hungama OTT and is also available across platforms including Tata Play Binge, Watcho, BSNL, PlayboxTV, RailWire Broadband, Airtel Xstream Play and Dor TV.
