After drawing attention for his performance in ‘Paatal Lok’, actor Lakshvir Singh is set to return with a far more intense and physically demanding role in ‘Lukkhe’. The actor steps into the role of Lucky, a character shaped by ambition, vulnerability, and an underlying resilience that defines the tone of the series.
A Prime Video press release said Lakshvir’s preparation for the role stands out as much as the character itself. To authentically portray Lucky, he underwent rigorous hockey training — despite having no prior experience with the sport. What initially began as a few practice sessions soon turned into a much deeper commitment, reflecting his approach to fully inhabiting the character.
Sharing his experience, Lakshvir revealed that he ended up completing nearly 40 practice sessions, far beyond the originally planned three. He admitted that the process was physically exhausting and at times overwhelming, but it helped him understand the mindset required for the role.
For him, the discipline, grit, and endurance associated with a hockey player became central to shaping Lucky’s personality, even if the sport itself features only briefly on screen.
Produced by Vipul D Shah and Rajesh Bahl under Optimystix Entertainment and White Guerrilla LLP, ‘Lukkhe’ is directed by Himank Gaur and created by Deobjit Das Purkayastha and Agrim Joshi. The series features a strong ensemble cast including Raashii Khanna, King, Palak Tiwari, and Shivankit Singh Parihar, alongside Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Yograj Singh and Ayesha Raza Mishra in key roles.
‘Lukkhe’ is scheduled to premiere on May 8 on Prime Video, reaching audiences across India and more than 240 countries and territories.
