Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for the much-awaited finale of ‘Good Omens’, marking the end of the beloved fantasy series with a 90-minute episode set to premiere globally on May 13 across more than 240 countries and territories.
In a Prime Video press release, the platform confirmed that the final chapter, ‘Good Omens 3’, will continue the story from Season Two, bringing back the iconic duo of angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley for what is being described as their most personal and high-stakes journey yet.
Michael Sheen and David Tennant reprise their roles as Aziraphale and Crowley, whose centuries-old friendship now stands fractured. The narrative picks up after Aziraphale’s decision to return to Heaven, where he takes on the role of Supreme Archangel and is tasked with overseeing the Second Coming. Meanwhile, Crowley, left behind and heartbroken, finds himself struggling in isolation on the streets of Soho.
As the story unfolds, the stakes escalate dramatically, with the fate of the universe hanging in the balance. The two must confront their past, navigate emotional conflicts, and decide whether their bond is worth saving. From run-ins with London’s underworld to looming threats from Hell, the finale promises a blend of spectacle, humour, and emotional depth that has defined the series.
The ensemble cast also sees the return of familiar faces including Doon Mackichan, Gloria Obianyo, Liz Carr, Paul Chahidi, and Quelin Sepulveda, with Sir Derek Jacobi reprising his role as The Metatron. Actor Bilal Hasna joins the cast as Jesus, adding a new dimension to the storyline.
The finale is directed by Rachel Talalay, with executive producers including Rob Wilkins, representing the estate of Terry Pratchett, and BBC Studios Comedy’s Chief Creative Officer Josh Cole. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Narrativia and BBC Studios Comedy, the series draws to a close with what promises to be an emotional and epic conclusion.
With anticipation running high, the final instalment of ‘Good Omens’ is expected to deliver a fitting end to the story of one of television’s most unconventional and cherished partnerships.
