Veteran actor Anupam Kher has officially joined the cast of the upcoming film ‘Fauzi’, starring Prabhas in the lead. The announcement was made by the makers as they unveiled Kher’s poster from the film on the occasion of his 71st birthday, adding further excitement around the much-awaited project.
According to an ANI, the film’s production banner Mythri Movie Makers shared the poster on social media and welcomed the veteran actor to the film’s team. Posting the announcement on Instagram, the makers also extended birthday wishes to Kher while confirming his association with the project.
Along with the poster, the production house wrote that it was an honour to have the actor as part of the ‘Fauzi battalion’ and wished him a healthy and successful year ahead. The announcement quickly caught the attention of fans of both actors, further building anticipation around the film.
‘Fauzi’ was first announced last year on Prabhas’ birthday. The film is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and is expected to present a powerful story centred around the life of a brave soldier. The makers have indicated that the narrative will draw inspiration from lesser-known chapters of history, highlighting the courage and sacrifices of soldiers whose stories often remain untold.
At the time of the film’s initial announcement, the production team had revealed a first-look poster featuring Prabhas and described the project as “the bravest tale of a soldier from the hidden chapters of our history.” The film is expected to blend historical elements with a compelling dramatic narrative.
Meanwhile, Anupam Kher continues to remain active across multiple projects. The veteran actor will also be seen in the sequel to the popular film Khosla Ka Ghosla, titled ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’, which will be directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The original 2006 film gained widespread appreciation from audiences for its relatable storytelling and memorable performances.
With Kher now joining the cast, ‘Fauzi’ has added another prominent name to its ensemble. The collaboration between Prabhas, director Hanu Raghavapudi and the veteran actor is expected to generate considerable interest as the film moves further into production.
