The season has emerged as the strongest edition yet, setting new benchmarks in reach, engagement, watch-time, and advertiser participation further cementing JioStar’s dominance in the Malayalam entertainment space.
According to a JioHotstar press release, the show’s digital performance this year has surpassed all previous seasons, marking a significant leap in consumption patterns across platforms. On the finale day (3 August 2025), the platform witnessed nearly 2x growth in video views when compared to Season 6, while watch-time on the same day soared by an impressive 137 percent, underscoring the massive scale of audience involvement.
Television performance remained equally extraordinary, with the show reaching approximately 84 percent of Kerala’s population. “Season 7 has shown just how deeply ‘Bigg Boss Malayalam’ is woven into Kerala’s cultural fabric. This year’s remarkable surge in Connected TV viewing, watch-time, and digital engagement reflects not just strong consumption—but genuine appointment viewing that brings families and communities together,” said Krishnan Kutty, Head of Cluster, Entertainment (South), JioStar. He added that the overwhelming audience participation and robust advertiser confidence reaffirm the franchise’s unmatched ability to shape culture and drive conversations at scale.
On JioHotstar, the seventh season recorded an overall 65 percent surge in video views, supported by a strong 36 percent rise in total watch-time. Connected TV also emerged as a significant driver, contributing 25 percent of total watch-time an indicator of the show’s growing position as a large-screen, family co-viewing experience. The season achieved its highest-ever weekday and weekend performance, further solidifying its dominance throughout the broadcast window.
The response on Asianet mirrored this success, with the channel registering a reach of 7.37 million viewers. Season 7 also delivered the highest grand finale ratings in the history of the franchise, along with record-breaking weekend ratings, top weekday ratings, and unparalleled social media momentum. The show amassed 6.2 billion interactions across platforms, reflecting its soaring popularity and cultural buzz.
A notable highlight this season was a commoner finishing as the second runner-up a moment that resonated strongly with audiences and added to the emotional connect of the show. Mohanlal’s refreshed look also turned into a cultural talking point, sparking widespread discussion and admiration on social media.
With 17 national and regional advertisers joining hands across TV and digital, including MyG, Maruti, Berger Paints, Swiggy, Ujala Young & Fresh, Dazzler, Havells, Cera, Patanjali Ayurved (Sunrich), K P Namboodiri, and more, the season proved its unmatched influence as Kerala’s most powerful media property.
