Media services company Planetcast has announced a major change at the top, with long-standing executive Sanjay Duda stepping down as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
Duda, who has spent over 25 years with the organisation, will continue in an advisory role for the next year to support the transition.
According to a Storyboard18 report, Duda’s exit comes at a crucial juncture for Planetcast, which has been expanding rapidly across cloud, SaaS, and global media services. Over the decades, he played a defining role in shaping Planetcast’s growth story, steering the company through large-scale shifts in the broadcast-tech landscape. As CEO, he led strategic pushes into cloud playout, post-production, OTT delivery, and FAST channels—helping Planetcast diversify its offerings and stay competitive amid changing content delivery models.
Stepping into the role of CEO is Sanjay Bhat, who previously led the India business for British Telecom. With extensive operational and commercial experience across complex technology-driven sectors, Bhat’s appointment signals Planetcast’s intent to accelerate its global ambitions and strengthen its cloud-first media solutions portfolio.
