College is usually where love stories take flight friendships bloom, crushes unfold, and confessions spill over midnight calls. But COLORS’ latest show ‘Tu Juliet Jatt Di’ flips the script entirely. In this new-age campus drama, a marriage happens first, college follows, and love finds its way later.
Set in the vibrant corridors of Chandigarh Prime University, the show promises a rollercoaster of chemistry, chaos, and charm where opposites attract in the most unexpected way.
According to a press release, ‘Tu Juliet Jatt Di’ follows Nawab (Syed Raza), a wealthy, carefree Jatt who lives by his own rules spontaneous, bold, and allergic to commitment and Heer (Jasmeet Kaur), his complete opposite. Ambitious, disciplined, and practical, Heer has no space for love in her life, until fate ties her to Nawab in marriage even before college begins. What follows is a delightful clash of personalities and emotions as two contrasting worlds collide in a journey that’s humorous, heartfelt, and deeply human.
Sameer Gogate, Business Head at Jiostar, shared, “At COLORS, we’ve always aimed to tell stories that are raw, real, and resonant. Tu Juliet Jatt Di captures the spirit of today’s youth while staying rooted in Punjab’s vibrant culture. It’s more than a campus love story — it’s about ambition, friendship, and finding yourself amidst life’s chaos.”
Producer Sargun Mehta of Dreamiyata Entertainment added, “College is where identities are formed. With Tu Juliet Jatt Di, we wanted to explore an unusual love — one that’s inconvenient yet transformative. Heer and Nawab don’t complete each other; they challenge each other. The story celebrates how two very different people can grow together through conflict and connection.”
Syed Raza, who plays Nawab, said, “Usually, love stories start in college. But this one starts with marriage and that’s what makes it unpredictable. Nawab’s carefree world turns upside down when Heer walks in. It’s love in reverse fresh, real, and full of surprises.”
Jasmeet Kaur, portraying Heer, shared, “The show captures how life doesn’t wait for your plans it just happens. Heer never believed in love, but life gives her a twist she can’t ignore. She’s sharp, ambitious, and stands her ground even when it means confronting her own husband.”
Veteran actor Sangita Ghosh, who essays the role of Gulaab, said, “Gulaab is a mother whose love borders on control. She protects her son to the point of obsession, believing every act of manipulation stems from care. It’s a character many will relate to a reflection of the emotional tug between family expectations and personal freedom.”
Will this unlikely duo’s story remain a clash of worlds, or will destiny turn their never into forever?
Find out as ‘Tu Juliet Jatt Di’ premieres on November 17, airing every night at 7 pm, only on COLORS and JioHotstar.
