Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has officially announced the release date of the much-awaited sequel to his 2019 romantic comedy ‘De De Pyaar De’. The film, titled ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, will hit theatres on November 14, 2025.
Devgn shared the news on Instagram along with a motion poster of the sequel, which also marks the return of Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. The film is directed by Anshul Sharma.
“Pyaar ka sequel hai crucial! Kya Ashish ko milega Ayesha ke parents ka approval? #PyaarVsParivaar #DeDePyaarDe2 in cinemas 14th November, 2025,” the actor wrote while sharing the announcement.
According to a PTI report, the sequel will feature a fresh ensemble cast, including R Madhavan, along with the father-son duo Jaaved Jaaferi and Meezaan Jafri, Gautami Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta.
The original ‘De De Pyaar De’, released in May 2019, followed the story of Ashish (Ajay Devgn), a 50-year-old businessman who falls for Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh), a woman nearly half his age. Their unconventional relationship becomes complicated when his family and ex-wife Manju (Tabu) disapprove.
Produced jointly by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar and Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ promises to continue the franchise’s blend of humour, family drama, and romance — with a new twist of pyaar vs parivaar that will unfold on the big screen this Diwali.
