Riding high on its recent success at the National Awards, Balaji Telefilms has stormed into the 70th Filmfare Awards with an impressive 13 nominations across 29 categories, further cementing its place as one of India’s most dynamic storytellers.
Leading the charge is ‘The Buckingham Murders’, Hansal Mehta’s riveting drama headlined by Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film has earned a Critics’ Best Film nomination, with Kareena in the running for Critics’ Best Actor (Female). It has also secured recognition in technical categories including background score, cinematography, and sound design — showcasing its craft as much as its performances.

The film, which has already sparked conversation for its daring narrative style, picked up nominations for Best Story, Production Design, Sound Design, Editing, along with a Debut Male nod for Abhinav Singh, who has been touted as a breakout talent.
Adding star power and glamour to the mix is the stylish entertainer ‘Crew’. The film has scored Best Actress nominations for both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, in addition to a Best Costume nod that reflects its eye-catching visual flair.
From dark thrillers to provocative experiments and high-gloss blockbusters, Balaji Telefilms has managed to deliver across genres, proving its versatility and vision.
