The XIth edition of the prestigious BCS Ratna Award 2025 lit up the capital on Wednesday evening at New Delhi, as India’s broadcasting, cable, and content distribution stalwarts came together for an evening of celebration, recognition, and industry camaraderie.
Organised annually by Aavishkar Media Group, the BCS Ratna Award have been honouring trailblazers of India’s broadcast and digital content ecosystem since 2010. This year’s ceremony was marked by high-voltage energy, star-studded appearances, and industry-wide participation — celebrating both legacy and innovation in media.
The awards ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp lighting by Anurag Singh Thakur, Member of Parliament and former Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports. Dignitaries and awardees from across the industry stood in applause as the event formally began.
In his address, Thakur praised the resilience, responsibility, and evolution of India’s media ecosystem, stating that “a free and responsible press is the cornerstone of a strong democracy.” He applauded content creators, journalists, and broadcasters who have adapted to the fast-changing digital landscape while upholding credibility.
This year’s awardees included some of the most iconic names in the industry—Rahul Kanwal, Arnab Goswami, Sudhir Chaudhry, Anil Malhotra, Rahul Sinha, Sanjive Narain, Suresh Sethiya, among several others. The awards spanned across six major categories, covering broadcast news, cable operations, digital content platforms, regional channels, technical innovation, and OTT leadership.
Each recipient was evaluated by an independent jury on parameters like innovation, industry impact, and consistent excellence.
