Amazon Prime Video has announced an exciting entertainment line-up of 17 Indian and international films and series ahead of Prime Day 2025, offering a rich selection of content in Hindi, Telugu, English, Korean, and more for its Indian subscribers.
The content roll-out is set to build up to Amazon India’s Prime Day shopping extravaganza scheduled on July 12,13 & 14..
According to a press release issued by Prime Video, the streaming platform has already kicked off the celebrations with the launch of the Indian adaptation of ‘The Traitors’ (Hindi), a high-stakes reality series hosted by Karan Johar, where 20 celebrities compete in a psychological game of deception. New episodes drop every Thursday at 8pm. Adding to the fanfare is the eagerly awaited ‘Panchayat’ S4, which premiered on June 24. Audiences are once again transported to Phulera, as Abhishek and the village residents return with their characteristic humour and heart.
Fans can also look forward to the Telugu original ‘Uppu Kappurambu’, releasing on July 4. This satirical comedy, featuring Keerthy Suresh and Suhas, tells the story of a quirky village facing an unusual problem — a graveyard without space. Meanwhile, ‘Ground Zero’, an action thriller starring Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar, and Zoya Hussain, premiered on June 20 and is already gaining traction among Hindi movie lovers.
The international slate is equally impressive. ‘Heads of State’ an action-comedy starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, John Cena, and Idris Elba premieres on July 2. The film follows two global leaders relying on a clever agent to unravel a dangerous conspiracy. On July 9, the platform adds Ballard to its catalogue a new series in the ‘Bosch: Legacy’ universe. And for thriller fans, Dexter: Resurrection makes a comeback with its first episode dropping on July 12, continuing the cult franchise with weekly episodes.
Earlier titles like ‘Deep Cover’ and ‘The Monkey’, headlined by Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, and Theo James, are already available for streaming. Korean drama enthusiasts can also tune in to ongoing series ‘Good Boy’, airing new episodes every weekend, and ‘Head Over Heels’, streaming every Monday and Tuesday.
Anime fans, too, can expect new content soon, along with additional Indian regional films that are set to be announced in the coming days.
Amazon India’s Prime Day, running from July 12 to 14, is expected to be a shopping bonanza, with exclusive deals, savings across categories, and early access to launches. Prime membership, priced at Rs.1,499 annually, includes access to Prime Video, free shipping, exclusive shopping offers, Amazon Music, Prime Reading, and Prime Gaming, among other benefits.
