Amazon’s Prime Video has announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of its latest action-thriller, ‘Ground Zero’, headlined by Emraan Hashmi. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner, the film is now available for streaming in India and across more than 240 countries and territories.
The announcement came via an official Prime Video release earlier today, accompanied by a gripping teaser shared on social media.
The film brings together a powerhouse cast, including Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, and Mukesh Tiwari alongside Hashmi, promising a gritty, edge-of-the-seat viewing experience.
‘Ground Zero’ is inspired by real events and is set against the politically sensitive landscape of Kashmir. At its heart lies a fictionalised account of a two-year-long counter-terror operation led by BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. The narrative follows his relentless pursuit to uncover the brains behind the 2001 Parliament attack, a mission that demands resilience, resolve, and a quiet bravery in the face of mounting odds.
Combining raw emotion with action-driven storytelling, the film offers a rare glimpse into the intricate strategies and psychological toll of counter-insurgency operations in India’s conflict zones. While ‘Ground Zero’ delivers thrills, it also stands as a cinematic salute to the unsung heroes of the armed forces who operate far from public view, yet shape national security in profound ways.
Director Tejas Deoskar, known for blending real-life grit with cinematic pace, takes viewers deep into the layered world of high-stakes intelligence, personal sacrifice, and the blurred lines between duty and identity. The film also explores the emotional dimensions of those left behind — adding depth to its otherwise high-octane plot.
Prime Video, in its official statement, noted, “Ground Zero is more than just an action thriller — it is a story of courage, loyalty, and the unwavering spirit of India’s security forces. We are proud to present this film to our global audience.”
With Emraan Hashmi returning to a powerful dramatic role, supported by a strong ensemble, ‘Ground Zero’ joins the list of bold, India-centric originals now finding global audiences on Prime Video.
The film is now available to all Prime members — in India and around the world.
