Actor Anshuman Jha has confirmed that the third part of his vigilante action franchise ‘Lakadbaggha’ is officially in the works. Following the audience response to ‘Lakadbaggha’ and ‘Lakadbaggha 2’, the makers are now ready to expand the gritty universe with ‘Lakadbaggha 3’, promising even more action, emotion, and intrigue.
According to an IANS report, the actor shared the news while speaking about the growing interest in grounded Indian superhero stories. Jha, who also serves as a producer on the franchise, said the journey of the animal-loving vigilante is far from over and that the next chapter will take the story in a fresh and unexpected direction.
“I always believed in the story and the space. ‘Lakadbaggha 3’ will be the most emotionally powerful chapter in the franchise yet. We are currently finalising the script and intend to take the narrative global this time,” said Jha, expressing gratitude to the fans who have supported the character and its unique approach to vigilante justice.
The franchise follows the story of Arjun Bakshi, a martial arts trainer and animal lover who turns into a vigilante to fight against illegal animal trafficking. The first film introduced his world, and the second installment delved deeper into his personal losses and the larger nexus behind the crimes. With ‘Lakadbaggha 3’, the makers promise higher stakes, deeper conflicts, and a more intense action narrative.
Jha also confirmed that the upcoming installment will retain the emotional core of the series while scaling up the action and production. The team is aiming to begin filming later this year with new characters and a storyline that expands beyond Indian borders.
“The idea is to keep the character rooted while introducing him to new challenges and settings. This chapter will show what Arjun truly stands for,” Jha added.
The ‘Lakadbaggha’ films have been praised for their raw action sequences and the strong message around animal rights — a subject not often explored in Indian mainstream cinema. With this announcement, ‘Lakadbaggha 3’ now joins the list of upcoming Indian sequels that audiences are eagerly waiting for.
