Hungama, one of India’s earliest digital entertainment platforms, has officially kicked off a new chapter by rebranding its OTT service and announcing an ambitious slate of 24 original shows.
The rebranding comes with a new visual identity and content strategy aimed at tapping into the evolving tastes of the Indian digital audience. Hungama’s revamped platform, now titled ‘Hungama Digital Media’, is being positioned as a hub for diverse, youth-centric, and culturally resonant content, blending regional richness with global storytelling styles.
The 24-show line-up features an array of genres including crime thrillers, slice-of-life dramas, edgy comedies, and youth-focused narratives. Hungama’s leadership confirmed that several shows are already in advanced stages of production, with staggered releases planned through the next 12 months. The company is also collaborating with a mix of emerging and established creators to bring fresh voices and distinct perspectives to its slate.
Speaking on the development, Neeraj Roy, Founder and MD of Hungama Digital Media, said, “This is not just a rebrand; it’s a reset. With storytelling at the centre, we’re building a destination that speaks to the aspirations of new India—bold, rooted, and unapologetically original.”
He added that the platform’s new vision is to focus on creator-driven storytelling, especially from tier-II and tier-III cities that often remain underserved in mainstream content.
