The highly anticipated mythological film ‘Kannappa’, starring Vishnu Manchu, has been delayed, leaving fans eagerly awaiting a fresh release date.
The makers have announced that the film, which was initially scheduled to hit theaters in 2025, needs additional time for post-production, particularly for perfecting its visual effects and key sequences.
Taking to social media, Vishnu Manchu addressed the delay, stating that the team is committed to delivering a world-class cinematic experience. He assured fans that the film’s scale and grandeur demand extra time to refine its CGI-heavy sequences, ensuring that every frame lives up to the expectations.
Inspired by the legendary story of Bhakta Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, the film promises a visually spectacular retelling of this age-old tale.
Apart from Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, ‘Kannappa’ features Bollywood star Akshay Kumar making his Telugu debut as Lord Shiva, alongside Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati. The film also boasts appearances by Mohanlal and Prabhas, adding to its grand appeal. The film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh
