The Times of India (BCCL) has named Vikas Purohit as CEO – New Business Ventures, a strategic appointment aimed at driving new growth opportunities and expanding business horizons.
In this role, Purohit will be responsible for identifying high-potential ventures, developing strategic roadmaps, and executing scalable, revenue-driven initiatives.
With a career spanning leading global and Indian brands, Purohit brings extensive expertise in digital commerce, retail, and business strategy. Before joining The Times of India, he led Meta India’s Small Business Group, supporting over 10 million enterprises in scaling their digital presence.
His leadership journey also includes serving as CEO of Tata CLiQ Fashion, where he played a key role in shaping the online fashion retail ecosystem. Additionally, he has held senior management positions at Amazon Fashion, Reliance Brands, and Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, establishing himself as a driving force in the retail and e-commerce sectors.
An IIT BHU graduate with a PGDBM from IIM Bangalore, Purohit’s expertise in digital transformation, consumer insights, and market expansion will be instrumental in The Times of India’s vision to diversify and innovate its business portfolio.
His appointment signals BCCL’s commitment to exploring new revenue streams, leveraging digital advancements, and identifying breakthrough opportunities in the evolving media and business landscape.
With Vikas Purohit at the helm of new business ventures, The Times of India is expected to launch disruptive business models, forge strategic partnerships, and expand its influence beyond traditional media.
