Actors Saqib Saleem, Sai Tamhankar, Rahul Bhat and Saba Azad are set to enthral audiences in the upcoming thriller series ‘Crime Beat’, premiering on ZEE5 on February 21.
‘Crime Beat’ follows the journey of a rookie crime journalist struggling to find his professional and personal footing. His big break arrives when he stumbles upon a lead regarding a fugitive gangster’s return to India. However, as he digs deeper, he finds himself entangled in a dangerous web of deception, power struggles, and hidden agendas. With his career, relationships, and life at stake, the journalist must navigate perilous choices that test his morality and courage, ANI reported.
Saqib Saleem, who plays the lead, shared his excitement by saying, “From the moment I took on this role, I knew ‘Crime Beat’ would be an intense and unforgettable journey. Portraying a crime journalist caught in a web of investigative reporting, power dynamics, and threats has been thrilling and challenging. The story is packed with suspense, high stakes, and moral dilemmas, making it an edge-of-your-seat experience.”
Azad, describing her role, said, “My character is driven, passionate, and fiercely independent. The show delves into investigative journalism, highlighting the dangers reporters face while uncovering some of society’s darkest secrets. The series is helmed by acclaimed directors Sudhir Mishra and Sanjeev Kaul, promising a high-intensity narrative filled with twists and turns.
