‘Beast Games’ is a beast of a hit, becoming Prime Video’s most watched unscripted series ever. The reality competition show, which is based on the popular YouTube show from Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast, drew more than 50 million viewers in its first 25 days on Prime Video. Since its launch on December 19, ‘Beast Games’ has reached No. 1 on Prime Video in more than 80 countries, the streamer said Saturday.
The show streams exclusively on Prime Video, which is included in an Amazon Prime membership. Prime costs about $139 annually in the US and Rs. 1,499 in India for a year, Rs.599 for three months, or Rs. 299 per month.
Amazon also offers additional, discounted membership options providing the same benefits of a regular Prime membership, including free delivery on more than 300 million items, exclusive deals, and savings for eligible members.
In ‘Beast Games’, which consists of 10 episodes, a staggering 1,000 contestants compete in nail-biting physical, mental, and social challenges for a chance to win a whopping $5 million cash prize. In each episode, contestants use their strength and wit to stay in the game, with the hope of being the multimillion-dollar winner.
“My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms,” said MrBeast, who serves as host and executive producer, adding,“Amazon gave me the creative control I need to try and make it happen. I hope to make the YouTube community proud.”
