Filmmakers Sudhanshu Rai and Puneet Sharma are gearing up to enthrall audiences with their latest venture, ‘Baida’, a sci-fi supernatural thriller slated for release in 2025. Featuring an ensemble cast led by Sourabh Raaj Jain, Hiten Tejwani and Tarun Khanna, the film is set against the backdrop of India’s Hindi heartland.
Following the success of his horror-comedy debut ‘Chaipatti’, Rai described ‘Baida’ as an “intriguing tale packed with unexpected twists, turns, and larger-than-life characters.” The filmmaker credited his fans for inspiring him to transition his imaginative stories from page to screen.
Sharma, celebrated for his work in the critically acclaimed ‘Chintaa Mani’, expressed confidence in the film’s appeal. “Indian audiences are increasingly drawn to unique and unconventional narratives. With Baida, we aim to meet this demand for fresh storytelling while offering a visually captivating cinematic experience,” he stated.
Alongside the lead trio, the film features a supporting cast including Manisha Rai, Shobhit Sujay, Siddharth Banerjee, Deepak Wadhwa, Akhlaq Azad and Pradeep Kabra. The collaboration between Rai and Sharma promises a blend of creative storytelling and technical finesse, aimed at elevating the sci-fi genre in Indian cinema.
