93.5 Red FM has announced its partnership with the 6th edition of Runveer: The Infantry Marathon – Sherdil Kargil, an event dedicated to honoring the courage and sacrifice of the Indian Army. This year holds special significance as it marks the 78th Infantry Day and the 25th anniversary of the Kargil War.
The marathon is set to take place on November 10, 2024, at the Garrison Ground, Infantry School, MHOW. This spirited event aims to unite army personnel and civilians in a celebration of patriotism and community spirit.
Organized annually to commemorate Infantry Day, the Runveer Marathon serves as a tribute to the largest fighting arm of the Indian Army, with this year’s edition specifically honoring the heroics of the Kargil War.
Participants can choose from multiple running categories—21 km, 10 km, and 5 km—to showcase their solidarity and love for the nation. The event is designed not just as a competition but as an opportunity for interaction between the army and local communities.
In addition to the races, attendees can look forward to an array of engaging attractions, including a Bagpiper’s Show, Weapon & Equipment Display, Microlight Aircraft Fly Past, and a Warm-up Zumba Session. Red FM’s energetic RJs will host the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.
