Colors Kannada is set to launch its new fiction show, ‘Drishtibottu’, in association with Sparsh Masala as a special partner. Featuring popular actors Vijay Lalita Surya, Ambika, Deepashree, and others, the show will premiere on September 9 at 6:30 pm, airing Monday through Saturday.
‘Drishtibottu’ revolves around the lives of Drishti and Dutta Sriram Patil, two individuals from contrasting families and social backgrounds. For Drishti, the protagonist, beauty is both a blessing and a curse. She is compelled to hide her beauty to avoid unwanted attention and exploitation, but remains determined to reunite her family and bring her estranged sister back home.
Vijay Lalita Surya, a popular face making his comeback to Colors Kannada, plays Dutta, a character with a complex backstory. Once a mechanic, Dutta is now a powerful don in Bellary, fueled by a deep-seated hatred for beautiful women after being betrayed by his former lover. Living with three sisters who feign love for him but are driven by selfish motives, Dutta’s life takes a turn when Drishti crosses his path.
Raghu Shivamogga enters the narrative as a corrupt cop with sinister intentions. Upon learning of Drishti’s beauty, he schemes his way into an engagement with her, forcing her family into desperate attempts to escape the arrangement. As Drishti encounters Dutta, their lives intertwine, leading to unexpected twists and dramatic turns.
Starring Vijay Lalita Surya, Arpitha Mohithe, make debut with Ambika, Deepashree, Raghu Shivamogga, Ashok Hegde, Tanmaya, and others in supporting roles.
