Zee TV, responding to its audience feedback mechanism ‘Hamara Parivar,’ is undergoing a bold transformation of its programming to better reflect the preferences of its evolving viewers.
Emerging from these insights is the new fiction show ‘Vasudha,’ set to premiere on September 16 and air Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm.
Produced by Arvind Babbal Productions, ‘Vasudha’ presents a narrative that explores the dynamic interplay between two women from starkly different worlds. The show promises a fresh perspective not previously explored on Indian television, centered on a clash of ideologies, temperaments, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Nausheen Ali Sardar plays Chandrika Singh Chauhan, a powerful, self-made businesswoman in Udaipur. She governs her empire with a strict rulebook, emphasizing discipline, justice, and integrity. Revered and feared, Chandrika is an intimidating figure who commands respect.
Priya Thakur stars as Vasudha, a young, carefree woman with an innocent and trusting nature. Unfamiliar with the rigidities of urban life, her attempts to impress Chandrika often land her in trouble, leading to an engaging dynamic between the two characters. This role marks Priya’s first lead performance.
Abhishek Sharma portrays Devansh Singh Chauhan, the ideal son who embodies his father’s empathy and his mother’s discipline. Deeply respectful of his mother, he believes in second chances and navigates the complex interplay between Chandrika and Vasudha. ‘
Vasudha’ delves into the lives of these two women who, despite being as different as fire and ice, find their paths intertwined in unexpected ways, impacting each other’s lives profoundly.
Through this new show, Zee TV aims to offer a unique narrative that captivates its viewers with a heartwarming tale of contrasting worlds, bringing fresh content to Indian television. Don’t miss the premiere of ‘Vasudha’ on September 16 at 10:30 pm, only on Zee TV!
