COLORS Gujarati is set to redefine Gujarati entertainment with its upcoming show, ‘Shyam Dhun Lagi Re’. For the first time ever, viewers will witness a devotional story narrated by Lord Krishna himself, bringing a fresh and captivating twist to television.
The newly released promo introduces audiences to Adi Kavi Narsinh Mehta, portrayed by Paresh Bhatt. Narsinh Mehta, a revered 15th-century poet-saint, is depicted as being mute from birth, yet deeply moving his family with his innocence and vulnerability. His grandmother, played by Neelu Vaghela, fervently prays for a miracle, believing that even the smallest whisper of faith can reach Lord Krishna.
“Being a part of this touching tale is a true honour for me. ‘Shyam Dhun Lagi Re’ marks my debut collaboration with COLORS Gujarati, and I’m eagerly looking forward to it,” said Vaghela, “My character, Dadi Baa, supports Narsinh and his unwavering faith in Lord Krishna, showcasing the power of faith to overcome any challenge. This show will resonate with everyone who enjoys Gujarati content.”
‘Shyam Dhun Lagi Re’ premieres on July 15, and will air Monday to Sunday.
