In a collaborative effort to provide relief from the scorching summer heat, Red FM and the Noida Traffic Police have launched the ‘Suvidha Ke Liye Shade Hai’ initiative.
The campaign aims to offer much-needed shade and comfort to commuters, especially two-wheeler riders, who endure extreme temperatures during their daily travels.
The initiative, spearheaded by popular radio hosts RJ Rohan and RJ Nalwa on their show DL935, commenced on June 4, 2024.
It involves the installation of shaded structures at strategic points throughout Noida, including bus stops, busy pedestrian crossings, and other high-traffic areas. These shade structures are designed to provide commuters with respite from the intense heat, promoting public health and safety as temperatures soar.
Nisha Narayanan, Director & COO of RED FM and Magic FM, emphasized the importance of community action and corporate-social partnerships in addressing real-world challenges. “Our latest campaign, ‘Suvidha Ke Liye Shade Hai,’ is a testament to the power of community action and corporate-social partnerships in addressing real-world problems. We aimed to make commuting more bearable for everyone during this extreme heat. The heatwaves this year have been unprecedented. It’s more important than ever to think about those who have no choice but to be out in this extremely difficult weather. We hope the shade and the campaign brought some relief and a sense of community solidarity,” Narayanan stated.
The initiative has been warmly received by the public, with many commuters expressing gratitude for the much-needed relief provided by the shaded structures. By prioritizing the health and well-being of the community, Red FM and Noida Traffic Police have demonstrated a strong commitment to social responsibility and public service.
Building on the success of ‘Suvidha Ke Liye Shade Hai,’ Red FM and Noida Traffic Police plan to continue their efforts to support the community through similar initiatives. The goal is to expand the reach of the campaign, ensuring that more commuters can benefit from the shade structures, particularly during the most challenging weather conditions.
The ‘Suvidha Ke Liye Shade Hai’ initiative by Red FM and Noida Traffic Police marks a significant step towards enhancing commuter comfort and safety. By providing shaded areas at critical points, the campaign not only addresses the immediate need for relief from the heat but also fosters a sense of community solidarity and support. As temperatures continue to rise, such initiatives become increasingly vital in safeguarding public health and well-being.
