AajTak recently wrapped up its impactful ‘Suniye Netaji’ campaign, signaling a milestone in citizen engagement across more than 100 towns.
The campaign provided a platform for citizens to voice their concerns, hopes, and aspirations, highlighting the crucial role of participatory democracy in influencing governance and policy decisions.
The campaign’s finale culminated in the delivery of a bundle containing 50,000 postcards filled with the voices of the people directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between citizens and leaders, fostering a deeper connection and understanding between them.
Vivek Malhotra, Group Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Consumer Revenue at INDIA TODAY Group, expressed gratitude and admiration for the campaign’s success. In a LinkedIn post, Malhotra underscored the profound bond between leaders and citizens, emphasizing the pivotal role of democracy in uniting them.
“I am overwhelmed with gratitude as we witnessed the remarkable conclusion today of AajTak Suniye Netaji Campaign,” Malhotra remarked. He highlighted the enthusiastic participation of citizens across various towns, who interacted with life-sized cut-outs of leaders and penned down their issues on postcards.
Malhotra further noted that the majority of citizens expressed a desire to connect directly with the Prime Minister himself. The delivery of 50,000 postcards filled with the hopes, aspirations, and concerns of the people to the PM symbolizes the power of democracy in fostering a strong bond between leaders and their constituents.
“I’m so humbled that we could pick this insight and bring them together. Gratitude and awe on how everything just fell in place,” Malhotra concluded, reflecting on the campaign’s success in amplifying citizen voices and facilitating meaningful dialogue between citizens and their elected representatives.
