Themed ‘Augmented Intelligence: Powering AVGC,’ the summit aims to foster knowledge exchange within the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming & Comics (AVGC) industry, uniting stakeholders for discussions on trends, challenges, and the future roadmap.
Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, Information Technology & Biotechnology and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Govt. of Karnataka, Shri Priyank Kharge, emphasized Karnataka’s commitment to becoming a global skilling epicenter for the AVGC community. Bengaluru GAFX serves as a platform to showcase the state’s vision and schemes for sector development.
ABAI President & Country Head Technicolor India, Shri Biren Ghose, highlighted the event’s multifaceted offerings, including conference tracks, masterclasses, student competitions, e-sports, and B2B networking sessions.
Bengaluru GAFX is recognized as a key convention for propelling the growth of AVGC in India, with an emphasis on the application of new technology in the audio-visual space.
In its decade-plus history, Bengaluru GAFX has attracted global industry leaders, making Bangalore the preferred hub for creative technology activities. Notable giants like Walt Disney Animation, Netflix, Rockstar Games, and others have chosen the city for their production and programming.
As the event aligns with the launch of Karnataka’s AVGC-XR Policy 3.0, it becomes a pivotal platform to discuss the state’s strategic vision.
The policy aims to position Karnataka as a global leader in AVGC-XR technologies, generating jobs, fostering sustainability, and nurturing talent.
Bengaluru GAFX 2024 is set to feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including multiple award winners from Oscars, British Arrows, VES Awards, Cannes Golds, and prestigious Indian awards. The event is poised to leave a lasting impact on the industry, shaping the future trajectory of AVGC in Karnataka and beyond.
