Viacom18’s Colors has appointed Kaumudi Mahajan as its Head of Content Strategy, marking a significant addition to the channel’s leadership team.
Mahajan, who previously held the position of Head of Entertainment Partnerships at Meta, announced her new role via a LinkedIn post.
In her announcement, Mahajan expressed her deep passion for the world of entertainment and her excitement for the new journey. She acknowledged her admiration for Colors and its impactful approach to addressing social realities.
Mahajan’s career has been marked by over 15 years in the entertainment industry, and she looks forward to contributing her experience and expertise to her new role.
Before her tenure at Meta, where she played a pivotal role in building partnerships and leveraging pop culture on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, Mahajan had a successful career with Disney Star spanning more than a decade.
Her journey with Disney Star began as an Assistant Manager in Programming Strategy in 2008 and culminated with her role as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for the Marathi Network at Disney Star in October 2022.
With her extensive background and industry knowledge, Kaumudi Mahajan is poised to make a significant impact on the content strategy and offerings of Colors, a channel known for its thought-provoking and socially relevant content.
Her appointment is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the network’s content creation and strategy.
