Social media platform Instagram is working on a new feature ‘Take a Break’ that will help the users to curb their Instagram addiction and encourage them to take a break after spending a certain amount of time on the app.
According to ANI, the feature will allow users to set-in app reminders to take a break from the Instagram app after continuously using it for 10, 20 or 30 minutes.
Testing the new feature, Instagram’s head Adam Mosseri said, “’ Take a Break’ feature has been developed as a “part of the broader effort to try and give people more control over their experience of Instagram”.
The photo-video sharing platform has worked with third-party experts to develop the ‘Take a Break’ feature, and it will begin rolling out to a small percentage of users over the coming days.
However, the company plans to launch this new feature sometime in December.
‘Take a Break’ will be available to all users in a month or two.
