Apple TV’s psychological thriller series ‘Imperfect Women’ is returning for a second season. Kerry Washington will reprise her role as Eleanor in the new season.
According to an ANI report from Los Angeles today,the first season was based on Araminta Hall’s novel and followed three close friends Eleanor, Mary and Nancy whose lives were affected after Nancy was murdered. Eleanor and Mary tried to uncover the truth behind Nancy’s death.
Season 2 will move beyond the original book and will feature a completely new story created by series creators Annie Weisman and Justin Hillian. The new season will also shift from Los Angeles to Martha’s Vineyard.
The story will focus on Eleanor as she returns to her hometown in Martha’s Vineyard. There, she discovers secrets and scandals that could change everything she thought she knew about her past.
Annie Weisman and Justin Hillian will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Kerry Washington will also executive produce the new season, while Elisabeth Moss will return as an executive producer.
