Amazon Prime Video India has curated 13 horror films and series for Halloween, which falls on October 31, bringing together Indian and international titles across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam and English. 

The selection spans everything from folklore and occult horror to haunted apartments, supernatural mysteries and psychological thrillers, with both recent releases and older genre favourites in the mix. 

The lineup includes ‘The Village’, ‘Khauf’, ‘Honey’, ‘Tumbbad’, ‘Dhootha’, ‘Heretic’, ‘Yavarum Nalam/13B: Fear Has a New Address’, ‘Bhoot’, ‘Immaculate’, ‘Black’, ‘Tantiram’, ‘Vadakkan’ and ‘Andhera’.

In a statement yesterday, Amazon describes the collection as catering to viewers looking for everything from slow-burn dread to psychological terror, while drawing on different regional horror traditions and storytelling styles.

Among the newer Indian titles, ‘Honey’ (2026), directed by Karuna Kumar and starring Naveen Chandra, Divya Pillai and Divi Vadthya, centres on a family drawn into occult practices after Anand pursues wealth. 

‘Khauf’ (2025), starring Monika Panwar, Rajat Kapoor and Chum Darang, follows a woman who moves into a Delhi hostel room inhabited by a sinister presence.

 ‘Andhera’ (2025), featuring Prajakta Koli, Priya Bapat, Karanvir Malhotra and Surveen Chawla, uses an episodic format to explore darkness and primal fears.

The selection also revisits established Indian horror. ‘Tumbbad’, directed by Rahi Anil Barve, Anand Gandhi and Adesh Prasad and led by Sohum Shah, uses mythology, greed and a rain-soaked setting to create a slow-burning period horror story. 

‘Dhootha’, starring Naga Chaitanya, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Prachi Desai, follows a journalist who discovers newspaper clippings that appear to predict horrific events. 

Meanwhile, ‘Bhoot’, starring Ajay Devgn, Urmila Matondkar, Nana Patekar and Rekha, is presented as a classic Bollywood haunted-apartment tale. 

The international picks add psychological and gothic horror to the mix. ‘Heretic’, starring Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East, follows two young missionaries caught in an unsettling test of faith and survival. 

‘Immaculate’, led by Sydney Sweeney, is set in an isolated convent and explores themes of purity, consent and possession. 

The Tamil-language ‘Black’, meanwhile, combines horror and science fiction as a couple gets trapped in disturbing, timeline-bending events during a storm.

Rounding out the list are ‘The Village’, which blends rural folk horror with multiple intersecting storylines; ‘Yavarum Nalam/13B: Fear Has a New Address’, in which a family’s television begins predicting events in their apartment; ‘Tantiram’, which draws on jinns, folk beliefs and supernatural bargains; and ‘Vadakkan’, centred on a paranormal investigator confronting cult-linked rituals and regional folklore in Kerala. 

Amazon said the 13-title collection is designed to offer a mix of languages, eras and horror styles for Halloween viewing on Prime Video India.
