Prime Video has renewed action-thriller series ‘Reacher’ for a sixth season, extending the Alan Ritchson-led franchise after a strong fourth season as the fourth season netted some record viewing.
Amazon in a statement has said ‘Reacher’ Season 4 reached 66 million viewers globally in its first 28 days and has now crossed 200 million viewers worldwide since the series debuted in 2022.
The action series’ Season 4 also ranks among the five most-watched seasons of any Amazon original series in Prime Video history.
The sixth-season renewal comes alongside the previously announced fifth season, giving the series at least two more seasons ahead.
‘Reacher’ Season 4 is currently streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, with all four seasons available on the service.
Amazon has not announced a release date or plot details for Season 6.
Ritchson continues as Jack Reacher, the former military investigator at the centre of the series based on Lee Child’s bestselling novels. The season also introduced new cast members including Sydelle Noel, Chris Marquette, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan and Kathleen Robertson.
Season 5 will adapt Child’s 20th Reacher novel, ‘Make Me’. The story begins when Reacher’s train stops in the mysterious town of Mother’s Rest, where he joins a private investigator searching for a missing person and uncovers a criminal conspiracy.
