Prime Video has renewed crime thriller ‘Cross’ for a third season, with Aldis Hodge set to return as Detective Alex Cross.

Based on characters from James Patterson’s best-selling book series, ‘Cross’ follows Alex Cross, a brilliant Washington, D.C., homicide detective and forensic psychologist with an uncanny ability to get inside the minds of killers to stop them.

The third season, according to an Amazon statement, will introduce four new cast members to the ensemble.

Golden Globe-winning actor Rob Perlman will play Herschel Zamora, a cop referred to Cross for therapy after a series of troubling work-related incidents. Robin Givens will portray Senator Mulrooney, an intellectual conservative whose family life is closely guarded.

The third season will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon has not yet announced a release date. ‘Cross’ is created by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins.

In addition to Watkins, the series is executive produced by Hodge, Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Siebels, Owen Shiflett, Patterson, Bill Robinson, Leah Benavides Rodriguez, Carlito Rodriguez, and Patrick Santa.

The first two seasons of ‘Cross’ are currently streaming on Prime Video.
