Sri Adhikari Brothers has announced the revival of two of its best-known television properties, ‘Suraag’ and ‘Damini’, with new editions titled ‘Suraag 2.0’ and ‘Damini 2.0’.

According to a Sri Adhikari Brothers press release today,’Suraag 2.0′ will bring back the crime investigation format through the company’s renewed association with Prasar Bharati. Sudesh Berry will return as Inspector Bharat, along with Sai Ketan Rao and Jigyasa Singh. The show is directed by Ravi Adhikari.

The new edition will carry forward the familiar stories and characters of ‘Suraag’ while adapting the treatment for viewers discovering the series for the first time.

Along with ‘Suraag 2.0’, Sri Adhikari Brothers has also announced ‘Damini 2.0’, which will be produced by Doordarshan Sahyadri’s in-house production team.

The original ‘Damini’ ran for over nine years and crossed 1,500 episodes. Kaanchan Adhikkari, who wrote and directed the original series, will return for ‘Damini 2.0’.

Kailasnath Adhikari, Managing Director of Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network, said the revival will allow the company to build on the recognition of the original shows while making stories that speak to today’s viewers.
