Nitin Gajria has taken on the role of Managing Director for Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier markets at Google.
Gajria announced the new role in a LinkedIn post, describing it as the next chapter of his journey at Google. He said he is returning to Southeast Asia, where his Google journey began 12.5 years ago.
Before taking up the new role, Gajria spent the past three years working on scaling Google’s publisher and creator monetisation business across the Asia Pacific region.
Gajria said he is excited to return to Southeast Asia and noted that the region’s digital ecosystem has changed significantly since he first worked there.He also highlighted the growing interest in consumer AI in the region. According to Gajria, consumer AI interest in the region is three times higher than the global average.
In his post, Gajria said he looks forward to listening, learning and working with Google’s employees, partners, developers and creators across the region as he takes on his new role.
