Apple TV hosted the world premiere of its new comedy series ‘Brothers’ at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. Stars and executive producers Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson attended the premiere along with other cast members and executive producers.
According to an Apple Tv press release yesterday, ‘Brothers’ stars McConaughey and Harrelson as fictionalized versions of themselves. The story follows their friendship after they discover a decades-old secret that they might actually be brothers.
The cast also includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe and Holland Taylor.
In the series, Woody’s daughter’s wedding falls apart, after which he takes his family to Austin for an extended stay at Matthew’s ranch.
Things change when Matthew’s mother, Ma Mac, accidentally reveals a long-hidden secret about the two friends possibly being brothers. Woody then tries to find the truth, while Matthew deals with the possibility of running for Governor of Texas.
The eight-episode series will make its global debut on Apple TV on September 23, 2026, with its first two episodes. A new episode will be released every Wednesday through November 4, 2026.
‘Brothers’ is produced for Apple TV by Paramount Television Studios. Lee Eisenberg, McConaughey and Harrelson are among the executive producers, along with Natalie Sandy, David West Read, Trish Hofmann, Bill Bost, Jason Winer, David Finkel, Brett Baer and Jeremy Plager. Trent O’Donnell directs multiple episodes, including the pilot.
