Amazon MGM Studios’ ‘The Runner’ and Prime Original series ‘Reacher’ topped Prime Video’s worldwide weekly viewing charts for August 31-September 6, leading the platform’s most-watched Prime Original films and series respectively.
Among non-English titles, India’s ‘Babita Singh Reporting’ led the film chart, while ‘The Traitors (India)’ emerged as the top series, according to data put out by Amazon.
The rankings, based on total worldwide Prime Video accounts that viewed a title during the week, put ‘The Runner’ at No. 1 on the overall Prime Original film list, followed by ‘The Last Sunrise’ and ‘Babita Singh Reporting’.
‘Project Hail Mary’, ‘Masters of the Universe’, ‘Playdate’, ‘The Sheep Detectives’, ‘The Devil’s Mouth’, ‘A Working Man’ and ‘The Wrecking Crew’ completed the top 10.
On the series side, ‘Reacher’ led the worldwide Prime Original chart, followed by ‘Sterling Point’ and ‘Off Campus’.
The list also featured UK International Original ‘The Grand Tour’ at No. 4 and India’s ‘The Traitors (India)’ at No. 5, ahead of ‘Ride or Die’, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, ‘The Boys’, U.K. title ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ and Japan’s ‘Can You Summon 100 Friends?’.
India’s ‘Babita Singh Reporting’ was the top non-English Prime Original film globally during the week. It was followed by Argentina’s ‘Barreda: Husband, Father, Murderer’, Spain’s ‘Culpa Mia’ and ‘Culpa Nuestra’, Brazil’s ‘Beast Race / Corrida dos Bichos’, Spain’s ‘Culpa Tuya’ and ‘Tell Me Softly / Dímelo Bajito’, ‘Boulevard’, Germany’s ‘Back to the 90s’ and Mexico’s ‘Vengeance / Venganza’.
In the non-English Prime Original series rankings, ‘The Traitors (India)’ took the top spot, with Japan’s ‘Can You Summon 100 Friends?’ at No. 2 and Colombia’s ‘Betty La Fea – La Historia Continua’ at No. 3. Mexico’s ‘No One Will Miss Us / Nadie Nos Va a Extrañar’, Germany’s ‘Maxton Hall—The World Between Us / Maxton Hall—Die Welt Zwischen Uns’, India’s ‘Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya’, South Korea’s ‘See You at Work Tomorrow!’, India’s ‘Mirzapur’, Denmark’s ‘Good Luck Guys Danmark’ and India’s ‘Vadhandhi’ rounded out the chart.
Amazon said the weekly lists are calculated from total worldwide Prime Video accounts that viewed a title from Monday through Sunday and differ from rankings displayed in the Prime Video app, which reflect a shorter viewing period and country-specific data.
For series, the rankings are based on total Prime Video accounts that watched any available season of a series.
Prime Video said it offers a broad collection of films, series and other programming across dozens of genres through a single app available on thousands of devices.
