Amazon Prime Video’s reality show ‘The Traitors S2’ attracted 18.49 million unique viewers during its opening viewing window from August 13 to August 25, according to Chrome DM COTT data.
Hosted by Karan Johar, the second season premiered on August 13 and features 21 celebrity contestants competing at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer for a prize pot of Rs 1 crore, built through missions. New episodes are released every Thursday.
Prime Video had also announced that ‘The Traitors S2’ became its number-one non-English title worldwide during its launch week.
Women made up the majority of the show’s audience, accounting for 62 percent or 11.47 million viewers, while men contributed 38 percent or 7.02 million viewers.
The largest audience group was women aged 18–24, with 4.86 million viewers, followed by women aged 25–35 with 3.85 million. Overall, viewers aged 18–35 across both genders accounted for 79 percent of the show’s total reach.
Maharashtra recorded the highest viewership among the individually tracked states at 4.53 million, followed by Delhi NCR with 3.08 million and Karnataka with 2.93 million. These three markets together accounted for 57 percent of the total audience.
Mobile devices accounted for 7.89 million viewers, while connected TVs (CTV) recorded 4.21 million viewers. Chrome DM COTT reported an overlap of 6.38 million viewers who watched the show across both device types.
According to Chrome DM Founder and CEO Pankaj Krishna, the show’s strong female viewership and high cross-device overlap highlight its appeal among younger audiences and suggest that viewers are returning as new episodes are released each week.
