Bloomberg Media has launched ‘Bloomberg India’, a dedicated digital hub focused on India’s business and financial news.
Bloomberg Media said in an official announcement that the platform went live on its website and mobile app on August 26. It brings together India focused business reporting, market data, newsletters, videos and investment-related content for investors, business leaders and decision-makers.
Bloomberg India will also offer tools such as a Market Snapshot, providing updates on Indian stocks, foreign exchange rates, global market benchmarks and major market movements. A securities ticker will highlight key developments in financial markets.
The launch comes as Bloomberg marks 30 years of operations in India. According to the company, India is now Bloomberg. com’s second-largest audience market globally.
Bloomberg has also expanded its editorial operations in India, with a dedicated digital team led by Tushar Banerjee, Digital Managing Editor, India. The company said its India coverage team is now at its largest ever.
Bloomberg has also introduced subscription payments in Indian rupees through local cards. UPI payments are expected to be added in September.
