Pratyush Khare was honoured with the ‘Best Anchor of the Year Debate’ award at the 12th BCS Ratna Award 2026, recognising his contribution to television news and debate anchoring.

While accepting the award, Khare thanked Zee and the BCS Ratna Award for the recognition. He also spoke about the challenges and responsibility involved in conducting news debates in today’s time.

‘Debates are very challenging in today’s time because when you speak, you have to think carefully about everything you say. Whatever we say should be fact-based and accurate, because we must not lose the trust of our viewers,’ Khare said.

He further highlighted the hard work behind every news programme and credited the entire team for their efforts.

‘The news you watch on television is backed by a lot of hard work, with the entire team putting in tremendous effort,’ he said.

Khare added that he and his team would continue to work with the same honesty and commitment in the future.

The 12th BCS Ratna Award 2026 brought together prominent names from the broadcasting, television, digital media, OTT and entertainment sectors, recognising individuals and organisations for their contribution to the media industry.
