12th BCS Ratna Award: JioStar’s Aravamudhan is Lifetime Achievement honouree

Aravamudhan, EVP- Legal and Regulatory, JioStar, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the XIIth BCS Ratna Award 2026, organised by the Aavishkar Media Group. The award recognised his outstanding contribution to India’s media and entertainment industry.

After receiving the award at a glittering event on August 5 in New Delhi, Aravamudhan or Aru, as he’s popularly known as in the global and domestic media circles, thanked Aavishkar Media Group Founder Dr. Rastogi, for the honour.

He also expressed his gratitude to the entire JioStar family, saying the award belongs to every team member who has supported the company’s journey and growth.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rastogi praised Aru’s contribution to the M&E industry.

Heaping praise on the man and the company, Dr. Rastogi said that JioStar has made “an exceptional contribution to the broadcasting sector” and K. Aravamudhan has “played a key role in the industry’s growth through his expertise in legal and regulatory affairs”.

“His dedication and leadership have helped strengthen the media ecosystem in India,” Dr. Rastogi stressed.

The XIIth BCS Ratna Award 2026 celebrated excellence in broadcasting, digital media, OTT, technology and related sectors, honouring professionals and organisations for their outstanding achievements.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious. So far Invesco has been hammered for demanding an EGM. What is Zee upto? Ofcourse my lawyer community knows better!
