This Independence Day, Zee5 is set to premiere its upcoming Hindi film ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ on August 14, 2026. Starring Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak and Smita Tambe, the film tells the inspiring story of unsung heroes who showed courage during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
According to a Zee5 press release,directed by Manoj Tapadia and produced by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films and Paramhans Creations in association with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the thriller-drama highlights the bravery of hospital staff who stood strong during one of India’s darkest moments.
Set at Mumbai’s Cama and Albless Hospital, the film focuses on nurses, ward boys, cleaners, security personnel and other hospital workers who risked their lives to protect patients when the attackers entered the premises.
Speaking about the film, Kaveri Das, Business Head – Hindi Zee5 and Chief Channel Officer &TV, said that the film brings forward the untold stories of healthcare workers whose courage and selflessness represent the true spirit of heroism.
Director Manoj Tapadia said that the film aims to showcase a lesser-known perspective of the 26/11 attacks by highlighting the courage of hospital staff who continued to serve patients despite the danger around them.
Kangana Ranaut, who is also associated with the film as an actor and producer, said that the story celebrates ordinary citizens who displayed extraordinary bravery during a time of crisis.‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ will premiere exclusively on Zee5 on August 14, 2026.
