Tom Holland and Zendaya’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has made a strong start at the Indian box office, earning Rs 72.44 crore on its opening day.
According to a PTI report from New Delhi today, the superhero film was released in India on Thursday, a day before its worldwide release.
It hit theatres in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with audiences able to watch it in both 2D and 3D formats.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film sees Tom Holland return as Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man. Zendaya reprises her role alongside Jacob Batalon, while Sadie Sink joins the cast in a key role.
The impressive opening-day collection highlights the strong response from Indian audiences and gives the latest Spider-Man film a solid start at the box office.
