Prime Video has announced a fresh lineup of movies and web series for audiences in India. The platform’s latest slate includes original series, blockbuster films and international titles across genres such as action, thriller, comedy, drama and romance in multiple languages.
According to a Prime Video press release, one of the biggest upcoming releases is ‘Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya’, a seven episode comedy drama starring ‘Kay Kay Menon’. The series follows Gyaneshwar Tripathi, a school principal who tries to transform one of the city’s worst performing schools with the help of a group of teachers.
Directed by Himank Gaur, the series also stars Archana Puran Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Abhimanyu Singh, Deven Bhojani and others. It will premiere on Prime Video on July 24.
Among the films now streaming on the platform is Drishyam 3, which brings back Mohanlal, Meena and Siddique. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film continues the story of George Kutty, whose peaceful life is disrupted when two journalists begin investigating the real events that inspired the film based on his past.
The thriller is available in Malayalam along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.Prime Video’s latest lineup also includes ‘Gram Chikitsalay Season 2’, where Amol Parashar returns as Dr. Prabhat to revive a struggling rural health centre while facing new challenges.
The platform has also added Karuppu, starring Suriya, a fantasy action drama about a lawyer who fights corruption, and ‘Made in India A Titan Story’, a six-part series featuring Naseeruddin Shah as JRD Tata and Jim Sarbh as Xerxes Desai.
Other upcoming titles include the investigative crime thriller ‘Raakh’, the comedy drama The Pyramid Scheme, and the courtroom thriller System, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika. Prime Video’s international lineup also features films and series such as Scream 7 and the Korean drama See You Tomorrow.
With a mix of Indian originals, blockbuster movies and international content, Prime Video aims to offer viewers a wide variety of entertainment across different genres and languages.
