Prime Minister Narendra Modi emerged as the top-performing influencer across social media platforms in India during June 15-21, while the Indian Cricket Team retained the top spot among brands with more than 43.7 million total actions, according to Comscore’s weekly social media rankings. The rankings also showed Modi leading content engagement across Instagram, Facebook and X, highlighting his dominance across major social platforms.
Comscore’s data showed that the week’s top-performing content across social platforms came from Modi’s official accounts. His Instagram account generated 3.13 million total actions, Facebook recorded 4.78 million actions, and X delivered 108,137 actions.
On YouTube, content creator Manish Khagare topped the platform with 6.74 million video views. The report noted that figures may continue to grow over time.
Among brands, the Indian Cricket Team ranked first with 43.75 million total actions, followed by InstantBollywood at 35.82 million. Royal Challengers Bangalore secured the third position with 22.97 million actions, ahead of the Indian National Congress at 20.39 million and Aaj Tak at 18.77 million actions.
In the influencer rankings, Modi led with 39.95 million total actions, significantly ahead of Rahul Gandhi, who recorded 7.65 million actions.
Cricketers Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer followed with 4.66 million and 4.59 million actions respectively, while creator Pallav Paliwal rounded out the top five with 4.22 million actions.
Comscore said the rankings were based on data from Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube (video views only) in India for the period June 15-21, 2026. The company defined actions as total engagement, including reactions, likes, shares, comments, reposts and similar interactions.
In the sponsorship category, Alite Skin emerged as the leading sponsor of the week through its association with influencer Jannat Zubair, generating 41,292 total actions. This was followed by myG digital sponsoring Mathrubhumi
The rankings for top sponsored brands and influencers mirrored the sponsorship leaderboard, with Jannat Zubair topping the category through her association with Alite Skin, followed by Mathrubhumi with myG digital and Sanket Mehta with Oppo India.
Comscore also identified key trending keywords and hashtags during the week. The most prominent terms included the Hindi words ‘के’, ‘में’ and ‘की’, alongside hashtags #indvafg and #teamindia, reflecting strong engagement around cricket-related conversations.
