Havas Media Network India has appointed Tabassum Modi as Chief Content Officer and Head of Havas Play India, strengthening its leadership team as the network continues to expand its content, entertainment and brand engagement capabilities.
In her new role, Modi will lead the network’s content strategy across platforms while spearheading Havas Play India, the company’s specialist unit focused on connecting brands with consumers through sports, gaming, music, entertainment and culture-led experiences.
A seasoned media and marketing professional, Modi brings extensive experience in content partnerships, branded entertainment, intellectual property development and integrated marketing solutions. Over the years, she has worked across media, content and advertising ecosystems, building strategic collaborations between brands, creators, broadcasters and digital platforms.
At Havas Media Network India, she will be responsible for driving content-led growth initiatives, strengthening brand storytelling opportunities and creating innovative engagement solutions for clients. Her mandate will also include expanding Havas Play India’s offerings as brands increasingly look to leverage passion points such as sports, esports, gaming, music and entertainment to connect with audiences.
The appointment comes at a time when content-driven marketing is becoming a key pillar of brand strategy. With consumers engaging across multiple screens and platforms, advertisers are increasingly seeking integrated solutions that combine media, content and experiences to build deeper audience connections.
Industry observers view Modi’s appointment as part of Havas Media Network India’s broader strategy to strengthen its capabilities in branded content, intellectual property creation and culture-led marketing. The move also reflects the growing importance of specialised divisions such as Havas Play, which focus on fan communities and passion-driven engagement opportunities beyond traditional advertising.
Commenting on the appointment, the company said Modi’s expertise across content, entertainment and strategic partnerships will play an important role in accelerating the next phase of growth for both the content practice and Havas Play India.
With this leadership addition, Havas Media Network India aims to further enhance its ability to deliver integrated content and experience-led solutions for brands navigating an increasingly fragmented media landscape.
